WEDDING AND EVENT COORDINATION SAYS:
“It’s not easy to write an “about” page, but I’ll do my best! I have owned and operated Kiss The Bride for the last ten years (no idea where all the time went)! I began my journey with Kiss The Bride in 2007, while I was living in New Brunswick. Shortly after, I received my certification with WPIC. In 2010, I moved (back home) to PEI and became the first ever WPIC certified event coordinator in the province. Being certified by the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada means a lot to me. It is the only government recognized and regulated wedding planner certification program in Canada.
Over the years, I have been lucky enough to work with some pretty amazing people. My work has been featured on StyleMePretty.com, WeddingWire.com, WeddingBells.ca, DoneBrilliantly.com, WeddingChicks.com, on the pages of Wedding Bells Magazine & more. Sometimes, when I say that out loud, (or type it), I still have to pinch myself.
Almost all of my clients are “destination” couples; they are people who are traveling to PEI from other places around the world to be married here, on our sweet, gentle little Island. I have worked with people from all over Canada, from Scotland, Ireland, the UK, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Australia & the US. That just goes to show what Islanders already know – PEI is an amazing place to visit and get married! 🙂
I can honestly say I do understand the stress involved with planning a wedding, in particular a destination wedding & the financial strain it can have on a couple. My husband Shawn & I were married in Italy. It was no small feat. Had we not had a planner on the ground in Italy, we may quite possibly still be trying to figure that out.
For the small amount of time that I am not coordinating weddings, I am a mom to a 16 year old (help), love love love to travel and explore, live for chocolate and sweets, adore my family, overuse smiley faces and emoticons much too much, am a huge cat lover (crazy cat lady) and spend every day with our purebred Siberian, Crosby. In 2016 my husband and I built our dream home on the water and every day, I am grateful for that.”
